"HOW CAN YOU GET YOUR RELIGIOUS AWARDS? 101"

A10TION: THIS IS JUST FOR THOSE WHO ARE ASKING ME, AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO KNOW HOW TO WORKOUT/GET THEIR RELIGOUS EMBLEM.

NOTE: The Religious Award for Catholic Scouts in BSP is now on the process of revision. The National Catholic Committee on Scouting has the new program for future implementation. (see our forum discussions) BUT if you still want to know 'How i get my Religious Award? i will tell it to you..... working for a Religious Emblem except from basic qualifications (e.a. age...grade level...etc.) also needed a lot of Effort, Dedication, Time and most especially Relationship with God....we will start here its going to be a long Instructions.....are you ready? here we go.....

Working for a Religious Emblem in my past Outfit Unit is not new they have been doing it since the beginning of the Emblem because, my institution is happened to be a 'Catholic School' (But Im not saying yearly we have a recepient, hehe) Only those who are 'Altar Servers' in our Institution have the qualifications to do the tasks, So, If your one' then it will be great BUT if your not, im not saying that you need to be one (Altar Server), because thats not the point of the Emblem but doing its requirements i think will be better if you are a Altar Server - just like you will have to accomplish a Service Hours for a Different kinds of Mass...Baptismal mass...Ordinary mass...Feast Day Mass.....Death Mass.....Every kind of mass...You should know the Different Parts of Mass...The sacramentals that we use in the Eucharistic mass.....You'll be doing the Corporal Works of mercy......etc.

What I did first is i went PERSONALLY to the NCCS (National Catholic Committee on Scouting) office in BSP National HQ in Manila then you will ask for a FORM, its like one page back to back piece of paper, then they will give you instructions on what to do (But Basically they will just tell you, give that to a Priest and he knows what to do, hehe) This Priest is supposed to be the Over-all Chairman on all that you need to do, and also he is the Chairman on your Board of Review for Religious Emblem after you finish all the requirements....then after that, your Chairman will appoint your 'Counselor' he/she must be a seminarian or a co-priest or etc. as long as he's qualified......Your Counselor is the one who will be with you ALL THE TIME, to guide and teach you what you need to know from the day you start to the day of your BOR which is the last step....Then after all of that, you can personally submit it to the NCCS office or you can just give it to your CSE then he will be the one to submit it....they will not obligue you But its better also to attach what you did on the FORM for their Documents (e.a. drawings of sacramentals, Biblical Passage and Characters that you can compare to a Scout Oath and Law...Your List of time of service....Certifications from a Priest.....etc.)...then after a Couple of weeks they will review your papers and if Approve they will send to you your Religious Medal, together with a Formal Letter and a Certifications from the NCCS. (You will ask then your Chairman to Court your Medal during Mass...for short Court of Honor for Religious Emblem is Conducted in Eucharistic Mass)

If you will ask who is my Members of the Board here are they:
Msgr. Crisostomo Cacho, VG, Diocese of IBA - Chairman of the Board
Rev. Fr. Apolinario Lezada, - Member, Parish Priest
A father from Cabanatuan i forgot his name - member

Certifications:
Bishop Florentino Lavarias, DD, Diocese of IBA - Co-Chairman
Sister Amie - Knights Coordinator
One from my parish where i work out

Counselor: Rev. Fr. Dexter Fabie
Co-Counselor: Semenarian Alfie Pangilinan

BUT just like what i told you, all the Religious Emblem now are on HOLD for they are on the process of revision. But i think It will not affect the Program Guidelines, Its just they switch the Award: Ave for Adult Program and Dominic Savio for Youth Program....Alright then??? If you still have questions in your mind, just feel free to ask me its my privileged to help you and others as well for our Duty to God.

Im looking forward to see you wearing your Religious Medal, But let me tell you this:
The time will come that all those medals, paraphernalia's and recognitions will be gone, But it doesn't matter as long as you have your Relationship with God, Being Open to him, and Trusting him and Experince his Love.....w/c is priceless! Awards are just representation of what we have achieved, But it is nothing if we do not practice what we learned.....LIVE THE SCOUT OATH AND LAW AND THE VERY POINT OF THIS IS OUR DUTY TO GOD! LET US GO IN PEACE TO LOVE AND SERVE OUR LORD, JESUS CHRIST! =]]

As long as i know in my batch, were only 3 scouts in luzon and 4 in total in national level during that year (2007). Also i think, we are the LAST BATCH issued a court of honor (e.a. Ave Maria Medal and Certificate) signed by late sir Rogelio Vicencio - Executive Director of NCCS (National Catholic Committee on Scouting) before he died.

AND AFTER THAT I LEFT THE PHILIPPINES, AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN ONE DAY I HAVE HEARD AND READ IN SOME FORUM THAT CONGRATULATES 500 SCOUTS FROM VISAYAS REGION THAT JUST GOT THEIR AVE MARIA EMBLEM. MMMMM. I REALLY DONT HAVE AN IDEA HOW THAT THINGS HAPPEN OR HOW THAT THINGS WORK. WHAT I KNOW IS THAT SINCE THE VERY START OF THIS EMBLEM. IT IS VERY RARE TO HAVE A MORE THAN 10 AVE MARIA RECEPIENT IN ONE YEAR!
